Our 3 hour buggy tour in Merzouga
On this 3 hour buggy tour in Merzouga you go around the dunes to Khamlia, a small village known for its Gnawa music. You get dunes, open desert tracks and a real taste of local life.

The route
We ride along the edge of the dunes to Khamlia. Here, local musicians play Gnawa music over a glass of mint tea. Then we return through the sand with a stop on a high dune.

Before you go
Do I need a driving licence?
No licence is needed for a guided ride in the dunes. Drivers should be adults; passengers of all ages ride with an adult.
What is Gnawa music?
Gnawa is spiritual music with drums and iron castanets, brought to Morocco centuries ago. In Khamlia families still play it for visitors.
Can you pick me up?
Yes, we pick you up from your hotel or camp in Merzouga. Send us its name when you book.
What if the weather is bad?
On very windy days we change the time or the route, or move your trip to another day.
